GARBAGE RATE SCHEDULE

Effective February 1, 2022

Residential       (One 64-gallon container provided by the city)            $17.20 per month

Commercial:     (Will be billed directly by Brommer Sanitation)  

Fuel Surchage

Brommer Sanitation will assess a fuel surchage of $.10 per month for residential premises effective Feb. 1, 2022.

Residential Garbage Collection

Residential garbage collection occurs each Monday, starting at 7:00 a.m. 
Brommer Sanitation reminds all customers that garbage and recycling cans must be out by the street

by 7:00 AM on the day of pick-up.  ALL recycling, including cardboard, needs to be inside the

container and NOT on top of the closed lid or on the ground next to the container.  Please also make

sure cardboard and other items are not wedged in the containers as this can result in the remaining

items being stuck in the container.  Thank you for your cooperation!

Garbage Dumpsters for Business Use Only                 

Businesses purchase their own dumpsters and pay a fee to have each dumpster emptied.  These are not intended for public use.  Please do not use a business dumpster as a means to dispose of your trash.

Changes to solid waste collection:
Effective February 1, 2020 residential and commercial trash and recycling for the City of Hartley will be collected exclusively by Brommer Sanitation. This process will include pick up of residential and some commercial customers by an automated truck that utilizes a hydraulic arm to dump containers. The 65 gallon rolling tote containers will be purchased and distributed by the City of Hartley and remain property of the City of Hartley. Each resident will be supplied with one trash and one recycling container with additional containers available for an additional monthly collection fee. The trash and recycling containers will be labeled and colored according to whether they are trash or recycling. Each container will have its own serial number that will be married to the address it serves. 
Trash and recycling pickup will remain on the same schedule that is currently used unless notified otherwise.
The City and Brommer Sanitation are working diligently to ensure that all residential and commercial customers collection needs are met to a high standard.
