Hartley Municipal Utilities seeks Superintendent of Public Works

The City of Hartley, Iowa, is seeking to fill the position of Superintendent of Public Works. 
This position is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating activities of the Public Works Department with utilities (water, sewer, electric, gas, solid waste, storm water), streets, building maintenance, projects, budgets, reports, parks and recreational facilities, cemetery and coordinating assigned activities with other City departments and outside agencies.

Minimum Qualifications: Electric Utility experience is required. Preferably education and experience in public works administration but not required, experience with budgeting, interpreting plans and blueprints, street and cemetery maintenance, municipal utilities, effective oral and written communications, supervising and delegating duties to staff, maintaining 
effective working relationships, resolving customer complaints, coordinating with City Clerk/Administrator, Mayor, City Council and city departments.
